The date is not invented. A lecturer who schedules an exercise medium for release
sets the sheet's title and deadline along with it — MediumPublisher,
reachable as Lecture#scheduled_sheets. When nothing is scheduled,
the block says “The next sheet has not been posted yet.” instead of guessing.
A long lecture — sketch, not seed data: no lecture in the demo has more than 13 sheets
Splitting the head cost the standing its permanent place at the top. The strip
above is what buys it back: one line — points, bar, threshold, pending — that
latches to the top once the standing block has scrolled out of view.
“Something has come in” — two facts per sheet, never one
A sheet has no single state “corrected”. The scan — the tutor's
handwriting, with points and remarks on it — belongs to the submission, so to the
whole team. The points are typed into MaMpf separately and belong
to one person. They rarely arrive together, and both orders are normal: the scans go
up and the points follow days later, or the points are read off the sheets in the
tutorial and the scans follow. So the page never infers one from the other, and
“new” does not mean “corrected” — it means something has changed since you last
looked that you are allowed to see. That one rule covers all five cases below,
corrections to earlier results included. It is told twice, and both places belong to
the list: a news row above it, and a marker in the row's left margin. The standing
block is deliberately not one of them — it is grey and unframed so that it does not
pull the eye, which makes it the worst possible home for a message.

they are not in MaMpf yet, so they do not count towards the 88.
The badge says what is there, not what is missing: the sheet has been
marked, by hand, and there is something to read. What is still outstanding is
the typing, and that belongs in the fold.
Points first, scan to follow — the same sheet, other order
This is why the marker exists at all: the news row names three sheets, but
Homework 3 is eight rows down. Each link jumps to its row and opens it; the
markers make the same sheets findable by scrolling. Beyond three sheets the row
reads “… and 4 more”, so it stays one line however much has come in.
Dr. Tutor corrected Problem 3 on August 29: 3 instead of 1.5. Your total for
this sheet went from 6.5 to 8.
A correction reads as a correction, not as a first result: the quiet line under
the name says what changed, and the fold says what it was before. The word in
the news row carries it too — (points corrected), not
(points).

No news row, no dots, and the badge is back to waiting to be marked,
because nothing has come back at all. On the days when nothing has happened —
most of them — the page is exactly what it was before this round. The standing
block never changes either way: it keeps the pending points and nothing else.
How the marker goes. Opening the row clears it, or “mark all as
seen” clears the lot — and only for you —
it is kept per person and per submission, so a partner reading the correction does
not take your marker away. In this mockup that behaviour is real, not drawn: open
Homework 10 in the list above and its dot disappears. It is hidden rather than
removed, so the sheet name does not jump sideways.

One line per condition, in the words the rule was written in — never one computed
verdict. A condition that is met and one that is still open read the same, because
neither has cost anything. Red appears at most once per block and only where nothing
can change any more; a second settled condition stays grey, because one loss is a
fact and three is a scolding. In the demo the rule requires only the blackboard talk;
the middle block shows what lecture 1's other two achievements would look like if the
rule asked for them too.
Every state a row can be in
Two columns carry the state and never both speak at once. The points
column holds a number whenever there is one; the status
column holds a badge only when there cannot be — grey (nothing to do yet),
amber (you have to act), red (this cost you points), never green. A quiet line under
the sheet name explains, and only when something needs explaining. Every number also
carries an invisible label, so the colour is never the only thing saying what
happened.
